ISSUE

Lately…their pocket book hasn’t been the only thing taking a hit.

ISSUE:

Abuse doesn’t just affect the person being abused; it affects that person’s children and grandchildren for generations to come. It’s a cycle; most abusers were victims as children or witnessed abuse in their family. Most abusers begin abusing after a trigger occurs in their lives; be it increased stress or difficult family conditions like alcoholism, drug addiction, layoffs or teen pregnancySEE STATS

RESULTS:

United Way of the Plains is helping to break the cycle. Through its funded programs, United Way is providing crisis counseling, emergency shelter, parent education and abuse prevention services.  SEE ACTIONS
